We are a community of faith committed to a deliberate approach to making a life together in the Way of Jesus. As a simplistic community of Christ-followers we live out our daily lives and rhythms around the following themes which are based on how Jesus lived and what He taught.

Lordship of Jesus Christ We recognize that the Way of Jesus is an all out, into the kingdom enlistment that dramatically influences all aspects of life. As we journey together in faith, we strive to submit ourselves to the lordship of Jesus Christ. As Christ followers our acknowledging his sovereignty goes beyond a decision to merely “convert” or possess a superficial understanding of the gospel. We believe our Christianity is authenticated by our actions. We acknowledge him through our obedience to his will for our lives, families, resources and priorities.

(Matthew 3:2-3, 7:24-27, John 6:53-69)

Apostolic Mission We recognize that we were created to champion God’s glory and disciple others in The Way of Jesus, his Son. When his creation failed, God didn’t give up on it. He has always been about restoring all things, and particularly people, to himself. We are privileged in that God has invited us to join with Him in this grand restoration endeavor. We seek to actively pray daily for those in our relational world who have yet to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ over their lives and commit ourselves to journeying with others in intentional discipling relationships.

(II Corinthians 5:16-21, Matthew 24:14, 28:18-20, John 20:21, II Corinthians 9, Acts 1:8, II Timothy 2:2, Revelation 14:6)

Nurturing Relationships We believe that we were created to live deeply with one another, to carry each other’s burdens, to pray for each other and to suffer and celebrate together. We seek to practice forgiveness and reconciliation, honor, encouragement, humility, and hospitality in all of our relationships.

(John 3:11, 16-18, John 13:35, Genesis 2:18, 1 Corinthians 12, Eph 4:11-16, Romans 12:4-8)

Divine Truth We recognize that there is a knowledge and life perspective greater than our own, beyond even our understanding. Our God is truth and He speaks to us through his flawless, enduring word and his Holy Spirit. We are a community embracing intentional forms of faith formation including daily rhythms of prayer, solitude, worship, and scripture.

(Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16, 6:46-49, John 8:31-32, 17:17, II Timothy 3:16-17, James 1:21-25, II Peter 1:20-21)

Social Compassion We believe that all good things come from God. He has blessed us with what we have so that we may be a blessing to others. We live each day with the realization that each of us is an intricate part of something bigger than ourselves. Our Lord is a compassionate God who cares for the fatherless and the widow, fights for the oppressed, lifts up the poor, and defends the defenseless. We live to reflect his mercy to a hurting world.

(Genesis 12:1-3, Isaiah 58:10-11, Matthew 25:31-46, Mark 12:30-31, James 2:14-17)
